Free Gift Tags
I thought I'd share my I think they look cute printed on white and stuck on brown paper packages. The big one is a mailing label. If you print them on sticker paper they are extra easy to attach. There is a link to a free pdf file on the right under freebies. Enjoy!

Yummiest Beef Enchiladas
I'm probably the last person on earth looking for a yummy beef enchilada recipe- but this stuff is really good. I used corn tortillas and just placed them in the oil until warm and tender. Use the following link for the sauce recipe (not canned).
Double the recipe for the sauce and cut the amount of chili powder in half and increase the cumin. There will be a little left over sauce.
Serve the enchiladas with lettuce, fresh tomatoes, sliced avocados, and sour cream (or ranch dressing). Mmm- we had four adults eating with us and NO leftovers.

Cabinet Makeover
I've had this old, falling apart cabinet for about three years. It's an estate sale find and was 20$ (too high really). I finally painted it and added fabric inserts. To make the inserts you just take a piece of cardboard and glue on a little cotton batting, then wrap with fabric, and hot glue everything in place.
The opening where the inserts go is really wonky- I'm going to have to add a bit of cording around the fabric edges to cover some bloopers- but it looks better than it did originally :0)
The chair is also a yard sale find. Originally a 20$ ugly is now covered with Ikea fabric purchased on sale for $1.99 a yard. There is a post about that under decorating. Thanks for stopping by!

Here is a snugly blanket. Just red and white polar fleece, felt, buttons and fabric scraps (with a little embroidery).

Magnet Board
I whipped up this magnet board for Clarissa's room. It is a large white board/magnet board that was simply covered with fabric (thin enough that magnets can still hold things up). You just pull the fabric around to the back and staple it on with a staple gun. Now I just need to hang it up.

Christmas Countdown
I found the graphics for this cute nativity countdown at PC Crafter clip art. They are adorable.
You just print the pictures onto Avery T-shirt transfer paper and iron them onto white felt- then to make them a little sturdier you can whip stitch them to another piece of white felt.
I haven't added the dowel, stable, or any other extras because it's only fifteen days until Christmas and my kids need to use it! Is anyone else feeling slightly panicked?

Free Christmas Gifts
I think it was Pinching Your Pennies that told me about the Vista Printing site. They are offering free products- truly, all you pay is shipping (if you upload your own pictures they add a small fee). These would make some great Grandma and Grandpa gifts. The list of free products changes periodically. After one order they sent me an email that offered more free products. One item listed as free really wasn't- so, I just deleted it from my cart. But I've ordered ten different items, for free!
OK- get creative! They have car magnets- you know those big magnets people use to advertise their businesses. How about printing one that says "Happy Birthday" and using it when it's your child's birthday and you pick them up from school?
I made a t-shirt that said, Daddy's Best Helper, and had a picture of tools. Maybe make one that says, "World's Best Grandpa"?
Order the free rubber stamp with one of your children's names on it instead of an address. Or have their name printed on top of a notepad.
You can make those cute return labels, with caricatures you personalize of your own family- too cute.
Think outside the box. Clear off those business names and put in funny quotes, family pictures, etc. Change the Christmas cards into Thank you cards. They also offered free calendars, and free magnets- you can really get creative with these- oh, just check it out.
